We went to visit The Centre Pompidou, which contains a large public library and the largest collection of modern art in Europe, the Musée National d’Art Moderne. It is quite a large building and unique in appearance.
After leaving we went to a restaurant on the plaza right next to the Pompidou for some lunch. While sitting there, Merry, while looking at Google Maps on her phone hoping to find another attraction to visit, noticed her name on a building (on the map) right on the other side of the plaza.
It is Eglise Saint Merry, a church built in the 16th century dedicated to an 8th century monk.
Naturally we had to visit it. I’ve included a short video of our visit and some other pictures in that area. This is a 10 minute video (in French) with a more detailed look.
